About Me

Life moves fast, and many of us hide how we really feel.

Stress, anxiety and emotions build up - no one is spared - yet there are very few safe spaces where people feel comfortable sharing them.

I’ve seen this throughout my personal and professional life, leading global Trust & Safety teams, delivering round-the-clock clinical wellness support for employees and working with major technology companies to set workplace wellbeing standards. I have witnessed families devastated by suicide and communities struggling with bullying and isolation.

A question kept coming up again and again: how resilient are we, really?

The reality is difficult to ignore.
Depression affects millions of people worldwide. Loneliness is rising globally. Many people avoid therapy or professional support. But emotional openness improves mental health outcomes & social support reduces depression and isolation.

People want support - but often they don’t know how to start the conversation.

The hardest moment is often the moment before someone speaks.

For over ten years, I’ve worked with clinical psychologists to better understand emotional signals - how feelings show up in our bodies and how early support can help people before distress escalates.

One thing became clear: outside of professional settings, most people never reach out for help when they struggle.

At the same time, I realised how powerful simple things can be - connection, breathing, healthy habits and supportive communities.

A short conversation can change someone’s day. Sometimes all it takes is a small signal that says:

"I see you. I hear you."

"Are you okay?"

Those small moments matter.

So I asked myself: what can I do about it?

I realised that if we want change, we need to make emotional conversations easier, more natural and part of everyday life.

So I tried something simple - one shirt at a time.

Why I created The Check In?

The Check In turns everyday clothing into a gentle invitation for conversation and connection.

It helps people talk about how they feel - or invite someone else to open up - through simple prompts designed to spark meaningful moments.

Every garment is supported by a clinically-informed prompt library designed to be: calm but courageous, honest but gentle, minimal yet meaningful.

The idea is simple: clothing people already wear every day becomes a quiet signal that makes emotional conversations easier to start.

This is pre-clinical support, a way for people to check in with themselves and each other before problems grow bigger.

Because sometimes the most powerful support doesn’t start in a therapy room.

It starts with a simple moment between two people.

With The Check In, you become someone who can open up, support others and create a ripple of connection.
A small daily reminder that no one has to carry their feelings alone.

Wear it. Spark conversation. Connect daily.

Will you join me?
